Seller Agency - What is a Seller's (or Listing) Agent

What is a Seller's Agent ?  Licensed Realtors can act in either of two roles.  A Buyers Agent works for the Buyer and must legally and ethically look out for the buyer's best interest.   on the other hand, a Listing Ahent or Sellers Agent represents the Seller and is obligated by law to get the best price and terms for you, the Seller.   Other than honesty and fair dealing, your Seller's Agent has no responsibility at all to a prospective Buyer.  YourSeller's Agent works only for the Seller and is ehticlly and leglly required to serve the Seller's best interest.

When you have a home to sell, you should be represented by a licensed Realotr who will act as your Seller's Agent.
